Building Bridges from Communities to Classrooms – Part 12

August 27, 2026

For children with developmental delays, the right support at the right time can make an important difference in their journey towards greater independence and inclusion.

As part of our Building Bridges from Communities to Classrooms initiative, our team member, Ms. Sharadha N., CRC Davangere, Karnataka, recently interacted with a 4-year-old child with Global Developmental Delay (GDD) who regularly attends a special school at the Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Davangere, and receives physiotherapy support.

Supporting Every Step of the Journey

Supporting a child with developmental delays is a journey that requires patience, continued interaction, coordination, and encouragement. By working closely with families and professionals, our team aims to help children develop the skills and confidence they need to participate more actively in learning and everyday life.

For us, inclusion begins by understanding each child’s individual needs and creating pathways that can help them move towards mainstream education and greater participation in society.

The journey from a community to a classroom is not always a straight path. It requires families, educators, professionals, and communities to work together. When these support systems come together, children are better placed to access opportunities and reach their potential.

Families at the Heart of Inclusion

Parents play an essential role in supporting their child’s development. Their trust, involvement, and willingness to work alongside professionals can make the journey more meaningful and sustainable.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the child’s parents for believing in us and partnering with us to support their child’s development and future.

We also appreciate Ms. Sharadha N. for her dedicated efforts and commitment to reaching children who need support and helping connect them with opportunities for learning and inclusion.

Help Us Reach More Children

Many children with developmental delays may need the right support but remain unreached. Identifying these children and connecting them with appropriate services can be an important first step towards creating meaningful opportunities for their development and education.

Together, we can help build a more inclusive India—one where every child can learn, participate, belong, and thrive.

📢 Help us reach more children with developmental delays.

Together, let’s build bridges from communities to classrooms.
