Strengthening Community Understanding Through Early Identification and Inclusive Care

Today, the CRC Madurai team actively participated in a Tamil Nadu Government Self-Help Group (SHG) meeting, conducting a community awareness session focused on early identification and inclusive child care. This outreach initiative aimed to empower community members with knowledge and practical understanding to support children with developmental needs at the earliest stage.
The session sensitised participants on how to recognise early signs of developmental concerns, highlighting the importance of timely counselling, appropriate referral, and access to rehabilitation and support services. Community members were also informed about the services available through Children in India and the CRC, ensuring families know where and how to seek help.
Such community-level engagements play a vital role in strengthening awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging families to take proactive steps for their children’s well-being. When communities are informed and supportive, children receive timely care, and families feel empowered rather than isolated.
At Children in India, we remain committed to building informed, inclusive communities and advancing equitable care, rehabilitation, and opportunities for every child—ensuring that no child is left behind due to lack of awareness or access. 🌟✨
