Strengthening Inclusion Through Early Intervention – Godhra, Gujarat

February 11, 2026

A Children in India team member from Godhra, Gujarat, recently visited the District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC) to engage with children identified with developmental delays and other disabilities, along with their caregivers and service providers. The visit reaffirmed our commitment to strengthening early intervention systems and inclusive education pathways.

The focus of the interaction was on early identification, timely referral, and family counselling, ensuring that children receive appropriate assessments and therapeutic support at the right time. Early intervention plays a crucial role in addressing developmental challenges and equipping families with the knowledge and confidence to seek sustained care.

A strong emphasis was placed on supporting children with developmental delays and disabilities in transitioning into mainstream education with appropriate support systems. By working closely with DEIC professionals, the initiative reinforced structured pathways for therapy, rehabilitation, and inclusive schooling, ensuring that no child is left behind due to delayed intervention or lack of awareness.

At Children in India, we remain committed to strengthening early intervention services and promoting inclusive education so that every child—regardless of ability—has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive with dignity.

Together, we move closer to building an inclusive and equitable future for all children. 🌟✨
