Celebrating the transformative power of art, education, and human values through “Pehla Adhyapak”

On 15th May 2026, an unforgettable evening of culture, learning, and inspiration unfolded at Jawahar Bhawan as Rang Majma Cultural and Education Trust, in collaboration with RANG MAJMA, CURE India, Children in India, and Tree of Skills, successfully presented the powerful theatrical production “Pehla Adhyapak.”
The event brought together artists, educators, children, social sector leaders, and community members for a meaningful cultural experience that highlighted the enduring impact of education, creativity, and compassion in shaping society.
Based on the acclaimed novel The First Teacher by Chingiz Aitmatov, the play was thoughtfully adapted by Moazzam Ali and translated into Hindi by Bhisham Sahni. Through emotional storytelling and compelling performances by young artists, the production captivated the audience and conveyed powerful messages about education, perseverance, and social change.
The occasion was further enriched by the presence of Dr Santhosh George, who attended as the Chief Guest. Dr. George proudly presented certificates to all participating artists, recognizing their outstanding performances, dedication, and passion for theatre. His words of encouragement celebrated the role of creative expression in nurturing confidence, empathy, and personal growth among children.
The success of the event was made possible through the collective efforts of many individuals and supporters. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the young performers whose enthusiasm and talent brought the story to life, to Sanjay Rikhari for the soulful musical composition, and to Santosh Kumar Singh for the exceptional sound design that enriched the theatrical experience. We are equally grateful to our collaborators, volunteers, guests, supporters, and audience members whose presence and encouragement contributed to the event’s success.
Events like “Pehla Adhyapak” remind us that theatre is far more than a form of entertainment. It serves as a powerful medium for dialogue, awareness, inclusion, and social transformation. Through stories that inspire reflection and understanding, theatre helps build bridges between communities and encourages meaningful conversations about the world around us.
Together, through the combined strength of art and education, we continue to inspire minds, nurture empathy, and work towards building a more compassionate, inclusive, and enlightened society. 🌟🎭📚
