Building Bridges from Communities to Classrooms – Part 8

August 12, 2026

Can one caring conversation become the first step toward a brighter future for a child?

Sometimes, meaningful change begins simply by listening.

As part of the Children in India initiative, our dedicated team member, Ms. Ranjana Dickenson, Disability Program Coordinator, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, recently met with a child living with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and the child’s family to understand their needs and explore the support available to them.

Through compassionate guidance and continued support, the child received assistance with the process of obtaining a UDID (Unique Disability ID), access to basic assistive equipment, and guidance towards joining mainstream education. Each of these steps can play an important role in helping children with disabilities gain greater independence, confidence, and access to opportunities.

At Children in India, we believe that inclusion begins with understanding. By engaging directly with families, identifying their needs, and connecting them with appropriate services, we work to remove barriers that may stand between children and the education and opportunities they deserve.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Ranjana Dickenson for her unwavering commitment, compassion, and dedication to ensuring that every child receives the care, dignity, and opportunities they deserve.

Most importantly, we sincerely thank the child’s parents for placing their trust in us and allowing us to walk alongside them on this journey. Their trust and partnership are an essential part of creating meaningful and lasting change.

Every conversation can open a door. Every referral can create an opportunity. Every step toward inclusion can change a child’s future.

Together, we are building pathways where every child can learn, participate, belong, and reach their full potential.

Together, we're building inclusive communities where no child is left behind. 🌟
