Building Awareness and Strengthening Child Health Through Parent Education
Empowering parents with the right knowledge is one of the most effective ways to ensure healthy childhood development. With this belief at the core of our mission, we are proud to share the success of our Parent Training Seminar held in Jammu, which witnessed an inspiring participation of 70 parents.
The seminar was led by Vidushi Sharma, SPC at Children in India, who delivered insightful sessions on early childhood development. Her expertise and engaging approach helped parents better understand developmental milestones, early intervention, and the importance of informed caregiving.
The event was further strengthened by the invaluable support of Dr. G. S. Saini, H.O.D. of Pediatrics, along with the Medical Superintendent and DEIC functionaries of SMGS Hospital. Their collaboration played a crucial role in ensuring the seminar was both informative and impactful, creating a meaningful learning environment for all participants.
To encourage active participation, parents were provided with pre-learning kits, informative brochures, and refreshments, making the session interactive and accessible. The enthusiastic response from both parents and the Department of Pediatrics reaffirmed the importance of such awareness-driven initiatives.
