शिक्षा हर बच्चे का अधिकार है—यह केवल सक्षम बच्चों तक सीमित कोई विशेषाधिकार नहीं है। हर बच्चे को ऐसे वातावरण में सीखने, भाग लेने, दोस्त बनाने और आगे बढ़ने का अवसर मिलना चाहिए, जहाँ उसका सम्मान किया जाए और उसे अपनापन महसूस हो।
जब दिव्यांग बच्चों को मुख्यधारा की कक्षाओं से अलग कर दिया जाता है, तो वे अपने साथियों के साथ सीखने और आगे बढ़ने के महत्वपूर्ण अवसरों से वंचित हो सकते हैं। वहीं, अन्य बच्चे भी सहानुभूति, विविधता, समावेश और एक-दूसरे की ताकत को समझने के अवसर से वंचित रह जाते हैं।
Children in India में हमारा मानना है कि हर स्कूल सभी बच्चों के लिए सुलभ और स्वागतपूर्ण होना चाहिए। स्कूल का हर दरवाज़ा इतना खुला होना चाहिए कि हर बच्चा चलकर, व्हीलचेयर से या अपने कदमों पर गरिमा के साथ उसके भीतर प्रवेश कर सके।
समावेशी शिक्षा का अर्थ ऐसे सीखने के वातावरण का निर्माण करना है, जहाँ दिव्यांग बच्चे अपने साथियों के साथ सार्थक रूप से भाग ले सकें। इसके लिए केवल भौतिक सुविधाओं की उपलब्धता ही पर्याप्त नहीं है, बल्कि सहयोगी शिक्षक, समावेशी शिक्षण पद्धतियाँ, सुलभ अध्ययन सामग्री और ऐसा वातावरण भी आवश्यक है जहाँ हर बच्चे को महत्व दिया जाए।
वास्तविक बदलाव तब शुरू होता है जब हम बच्चों से ऐसी व्यवस्थाओं के अनुसार ढलने की अपेक्षा करना बंद करते हैं, जो उनकी आवश्यकताओं को ध्यान में रखकर बनाई ही नहीं गई हैं।
इसके बजाय, स्कूल और समुदाय ऐसी व्यवस्थाएँ बनाने की दिशा में काम कर सकते हैं जो बच्चों की विविध आवश्यकताओं के अनुसार स्वयं को अनुकूलित करें। सुलभ बुनियादी ढाँचा, आवश्यक शैक्षिक सहयोग, शिक्षकों का प्रशिक्षण और जागरूकता समावेशी शिक्षा को वास्तविकता बनाने में मदद कर सकते हैं।
समावेशी कक्षाएँ बच्चों को अंतर को समझने, सहानुभूति विकसित करने, एक-दूसरे के साथ सहयोग करने और प्रत्येक व्यक्ति की विशेष क्षमताओं को पहचानने का अवसर देती हैं।
इसलिए समावेशी स्कूल बनाना केवल दिव्यांग बच्चों का समर्थन करने तक सीमित नहीं है—यह सभी के लिए अधिक समान और न्यायपूर्ण सीखने का वातावरण तैयार करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।
शिक्षक, स्कूल प्रमुख, माता-पिता, नीति-निर्माता और समुदाय—सभी की भूमिका ऐसी सुलभ और समावेशी शिक्षा व्यवस्था बनाने में महत्वपूर्ण है।
समावेश की दिशा में उठाया गया हर कदम ऐसे भविष्य के निर्माण में योगदान देता है, जहाँ बच्चों की पहचान उनकी दिव्यांगता से नहीं, बल्कि उनकी क्षमताओं और संभावनाओं से हो और उन्हें सीखने, भाग लेने और आगे बढ़ने का पूरा अवसर मिले।
