Strengthening Early Intervention and Equal Access to Support Services

The Children in India team was delighted to welcome the Kutch District Programme Coordinator (DPC) along with other team members during their visit to the District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC). The visit provided an important platform for meaningful discussions focused on strengthening early intervention systems and enhancing support services for children with special needs.
During the visit, the team also extended hands-on support to a family by assisting a child’s parent in securing a disability certificate. This crucial step enables access to essential services, legal rights, government benefits, and inclusive educational opportunities—paving the way for a more supportive and enabling learning environment.
Such efforts highlight the importance of collaboration between stakeholders in ensuring that children with disabilities are identified early and supported effectively. Early intervention, combined with timely documentation and guidance, plays a vital role in helping children transition into mainstream education with confidence and dignity.
At Children in India, we remain committed to ensuring that every child with special needs receives equal opportunities, inclusive education, and the support required to thrive academically and socially. Together, we continue building a future where no child is left behind, and inclusion becomes a lived reality for all. ✨
